Kelenic Slugs Moose to 11-8 Win
|
Jarred Kelenic was a major factor in the 11-8 Denver win over Cleveland. The Moose center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 7. Josh Hader got the save, his 34th in 40 chances. Denver now sits in 6th place in the Ottoneu Lockdown League Yelich Division at 65-72.
Kelenic contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Denver in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 8-6, Kelenic took a fastball from DJ Myers and stroked the home run to right. His 26th home run of the season allowed the Moose to leap in front, 10-8.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Kelenic said.
