Milkshakes Score Late, Upend Trash Pandas, 7-1
|
The 7-1 Milwaukee win over Oklahoma City was due largely to Jorge Soler. The Milkshakes right fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Logan Webb notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. The defeat makes Oklahoma City 7-7.
Milwaukee needed the clutch hitting of Starlin Castro to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Milkshakes on top, 3-1. For the game, Castro had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Castro told the Milwaukee Citizen.
