Murder Hornets Lose to Sun Kings, 3-1
|
The Ft. Worth Sun Kings topped the Austin Murder Hornets by the score of 3-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Bryan Reynolds. Reynolds was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Sun Kings on the day. Edward Cabrera, credited with the win, is now 5-4. He allowed no runs on no hits. The win puts Ft. Worth at 81-54 this season.
Reynolds contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Ft. Worth in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Reynolds took a changeup from Cristopher Sanchez and stroked the home run to left-center. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Sun Kings to leap in front, 2-1.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Reynolds.
