Simules Walk It Off for 85th Win of Season
|
The New Orleans Simules scored a tight 4-3 win versus the Nashville Nightcaps at The Amazon.com Simulator. New Orleans pitcher Kenta Maeda held his own in the contest. New Orleans reliever Zack Littell picked up the win, upping his record to 6-5. Jake Diekman was saddled with the loss. New Orleans goes to 85-46. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.
The Simules procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Mallex Smith. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
Smith attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
