Yaks Upend Ragin Cajuns, 7-3
|
Led by Nolan Arenado, the New York Yaks defeated the Memphis Ragin Cajuns, 7-3. Arenado went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Yaks. The winning pitcher was Adrian Houser. His record is now 7-11. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits for the Yaks. Brandon Kintzler got the save, his 32nd in 36 chances.
Anthony Rizzo, the 32-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Rizzo contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put New York up, 1-0.
