The Seattle Fury beat the Austin Murder Hornets, 9-4, at The Hornet Nest. The Fury got a fine performance from designated hitter Stephen Piscotty, who went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Randy Dobnak got credit for the win, improving to 12-6. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings. Kenley Jansen recorded the save, making him 9 for 13.

Luis Torrens, the 25-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Torrens contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put Seattle up, 4-3.
