Win Streak Now at 8 for Milkshakes
|
Despite a great performance by Rochester second baseman Gavin Lux, the Milwaukee Milkshakes defeated the Squirrel Cats by the score of 4-3 at Rochester Grounds. Lux went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Andres Munoz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 29 save opportunities. The wins continue to add up for Milwaukee, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Milwaukee, had it not been for Giancarlo Stanton, the 31-year old right fielder . Stanton contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Milwaukee up, 3-0.
Stanton attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
