Ragin Cajuns Beat Greensboro, 4-3
|
The Memphis Ragin Cajuns faced a tough opponent in Greensboro pitcher Andrew Heaney, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Bandersnatch by a final score of 4-3. Heaney went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win belongs to Sam Selman in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Sean Poppen took the loss for Greensboro. Greensboro's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Memphis used a clutch hit from Ronald Guzman to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ragin Cajuns ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
After the game, Memphis manager dberuta applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
