Sycamores Keep Streak Alive With 5-3 Win
The rain came, as predicted, but the Brooklyn Sycamores and Cleveland Spiders were able to complete their ballgame.

The Brooklyn Sycamores racked up a win at The Web, bumping off the Cleveland Spiders, 5-3. Lance McCullers Jr., who started for Brooklyn, pitched effectively for his team. Brooklyn has now won 9 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for Brooklyn, had it not been for Bo Bichette, the 23-year old shortstop . Bichette contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Brooklyn up, 1-0.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," McCullers Jr. said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
