The San Diego Matadors picked up a win at Ft. Worth Ballpark of the Kings, taking down the Ft. Worth Sun Kings, 5-1. Starting pitcher Frankie Montas was a big reason why. Montas went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 10-7. The win elevated the Matadors to 58-56.
