|
The Rochester Squirrel Cats thumped the Albuquerque Isotopes, 8-2, at Rochester Grounds. Hunter Renfroe was a big reason his team got the win. Renfroe hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Trevor Oaks got the win, improving to 6-5. He worked 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. The victory gives Rochester a record of 58-54.
With Rochester leading 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Renfroe hit a curveball from Anthony Kay for a 3-run home run. It was his 26th home run of the season and put the Squirrel Cats ahead, 7-2.
Renfroe called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
