Simules Edge Past Trash Pandas, 4-3

The Can was the site of an exciting ballgame between the New Orleans Simules and Oklahoma City Trash Pandas.
New Orleans Simules starter Kenta Maeda was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Oklahoma City Trash Pandas, 4-3. Tyler Johnson, now 2-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Edwin Diaz converted his 27th save in 30 tries.
New Orleans used a timely hit from Josh Naylor to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Simules ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I was a little disappointed," said Oklahoma City manager kevinahof . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The Simules, at 67-39, have now won 4 straight.
