Fury Collect 2-1 Win Over Simules
|
The Seattle Fury wiggled past the New Orleans Simules, 2-1, at Seattle Fields. The win was highlighted by the performance of Seattle pitcher Brendan McKay. Seattle reliever Shane McClanahan picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Edwin Diaz was tagged with the loss. The Fury sport a record of 39-63.
The Fury procured the win, in large part because of left fielder A.J. Pollock. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," McKay said.
