Hayes Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Greensboro in Walk-Off Win
|
The Greensboro Jabberwocks did just enough to secure a victory over the El Paso Metro Stars, 4-3, at The Bandersnatch. Nobody did more than pitcher Andrew Heaney. Austin Adams, now 8-5, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The win gives Greensboro a season record of 50-48.
Ke'Bryan Hayes was the walk-off hero for Greensboro. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Jabberwocks third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Heaney.
