Cleveland starter Sixto Sanchez pitched well against the Austin Murder Hornets at The Web. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. With the victory, the Spiders upped their record to 48-48.

Cleveland center fielder Lorenzo Cain contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a curveball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 87th hit of the season and put the Spiders ahead, 3-1.
