Reddick Lifts Metro Stars to 11-8 Win
|
Josh Reddick helped his team muscle past the Denver Moose, 11-8. In the game, the El Paso left fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. El Paso reliever Ranger Suarez was the winner. His record is now 2-3. The losing pitcher was Jairo Diaz. Giovanny Gallegos notched his 22nd save in 24 chances.
Reddick had a game-changing triple in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 fastball from Jairo Diaz, he banged a 2-run triple to left-center, giving the Metro Stars a 6-4 lead. It was the 2nd triple of the year for Reddick.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Denver manager mkirshenbaum . "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
At 41-52, the Metro Stars find themselves in 8th place in the Ottoneu Lockdown League Yelich Division.
