4-1 Win Gets Cleveland to 45-40
|
Cleveland Spiders starter Tucker Davidson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Seattle Fury, 4-1. Davidson went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-1. With the victory, the Spiders upped their record to 45-40.
Cleveland took a 4-1 lead on Lorenzo Cain's 17th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Cain hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Seattle pitcher Zack Kelly shaking his head.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Cleveland skipper chy924 .
